At Harrow Zhuhai, we consider charitable and community service as a fundamental principle of our pupils’ leadership education.
We provide pupils with many opportunities to work selflessly for the betterment of others, to nurture compassionate leaders. There is an expectation that pupils demonstrate a willingness to give their time and effort to benefit others, without expectation of reward or return.
At Harrow Zhuhai, the pupils and Houses have great ownership over their charity fundraising. Pupils nominate and vote for a House charity and they are involved in the planning and organising of charity events and fundraising activities.
Each year, pupils will take part in Service Day, a themed day for all students to engage in community focused, charitable events and activities. Service Day is celebrated by all schools in the Harrow group – it is a special day that unites all pupils throughout our schools in demonstrating values of fellowship and humility.
Pupils will also learn to respect and take care of our environment. Through eco-focused activities and assemblies, we hope our pupils will develop gratitude for our planet and ‘give back’ by learning how to live responsible and sustainable lives.
