On November 11, leveraging on the Zhuhai Airshow, AISL Harrow Zhuhai organized an aerospace expedition with the support of Friends of Harrow. Science Team teachers led students to attend the 14th China International Aviation&Aerospace Exhibition, Airshow China 2022 to explore aerospace and advanced Chinese technology.
A number of new aerospace products representing the world’s advanced level debuted, and other cutting-edge exhibits displayed such as launch vehicles, satellite applications of unmanned equipment, providing Harrow students with a different learning experience. Harrow students were interested in those cutting-edge weapons and equipments such as J-20 stealth fighter jets, Y-20 heavy transport aircraft, KJ-500 airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft, H-6K bombers. Some students drew the models on their notebooks and wrote down the name, while others stopped for a long time in front of their favorite warplanes.
During the expedition, Harrow students also experienced the excitement and fun of flying by using a flight simulator. The “Touch the Moon” VR experience area of the National Space Administration and the parachuting simulation experience area of the aviation industry brought Harrow students a new learning experience. The camp also featured the assembly of aircraft models, teachers’ thematic lectures on aerospace knowledge, etc. The rich learning methods made the students gain a lot.
The Airshow Expedition is one of the key learning programs for this school year, helping to grow the extracurricular knowledge of Harrow students, expand their insights and give impetus to the development of well-rounded future leaders. Harrow Zhuhai is committed to providing an outstanding holistic education to enable students to excel and develop in a holistic manner.
